Global Family Legal Services has opportunities for individuals who would like to partner, assist, volunteer, train, and learn how to serve in immigration law. 

Our non-profit has partnerships with attorneys from across the United States, as well as immigration advocacy organizations and programs, legal counsel, mentors, and more.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES 

WITH GLOBAL FAMILY LEGAL NETWORK


 

Our Global Family Legal Network has many avenues for you to volunteer as a pro bono attorney or a non-attorney, especially volunteer in asylum, refugee, and relief from removal cases, as well as other immigration matters. 

 

We will support you to volunteer remotely, receive training and mentorship through services provided by our legal network.

 Pro-Bono Attorney  

 

 

As a pro bono attorney, you may have the skills to mentor another attorney, or you may be mentored/trained to represent a client in their case. 

 

You will need an active law license in the United States to assist a case until its completion, ranging from 40-60 hours of your time. 

 

When representing a client, you become the attorney of record, prepare for, and attend an interview with USCIS. Some cases may require you to defend your client's rights before an Immigration Court.

 

 

Legal Assistant  

 

 

As a legal assistant you can work directly with cases and assist attorneys to gather evidence and prepare their legal filings.

 

We will provide training through our online portal platform. 

 

You may also wish to train to be accredited with the U.S. Department of Justice. 

 

 

Administrator/Interpreter  

 

 

You can assist with many administrative and clerical jobs, which will ensure for the success of clients' cases.
